Every child deserves to feel safe in their own home. Become a regular supporter and help put a stop to family violence in New Zealand homes.

Sadly, New Zealand has a terrible record of child abuse and family violence. On average, one child is killed every five weeks and a young child is hospitalised every second day as a result of abuse or neglect.

 

Family Works services help restore children’s lives by helping them and their families overcome the effects of family violence and neglect. We also help prevent family violence by strengthening families through counselling, parenting programmes, and social work support.

By becoming a Family Works Angel, you will help children recover from the physical and emotional torment of abuse.

Your regular gift of $30 each month will help pay for much-needed social services, such as counselling, play therapy, parenting programmes, social workers and emergency food parcels.

At Family Works, we help more than 45 people every day – that’s around 16,300 children and their families every year. Almost 300 women and children attend family violence programmes, and thousands of children in low-decile schools have a social worker they can turn to for support. We couldn’t do all this without the support of our Family Works Angels.
