The Incredible Years Autism is a FREE 14-week group programme for parents and caregivers with tamariki (children) aged 2-5 years old on the autism spectrum.
The programme consists of weekly sessions run by experienced Family Workers who are specially trained facilitators and covers topics like:
- The Incredible Years Autism programme for parents is driven by each child's developmental abilities and goals, helping caregivers build their parenting skills and confidence.
- Over 14 sessions, parents learn to engage and play with their child in ways that encourage emotional self-regulation and support their communication skills.
- Parents also learn to build their child's social skills and empathy and help them form positive relationships.
Starts: Thursday 13 August from 10am - 12:30pm
Runs every Thursday from 10am - 12:30pm until 26 Nov (excludes school holidays)
