Workshop: Responding to Children’s Stressful Incidents

Alistair brings 25 years of social work experience in three different countries to his role as Waitakere Family Works service manager. Scottish-born Alistair’s areas of specialty in Britain, Australia, and Aotearoa, include working with Children and Disability teams, Child Protection Intake and Assessment, Out of Home Care including Therapeutic Care, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Housing and Homelessness and Disengaged Youth and Parenting. His advocacy for social justice for all people has also included working on Manaaki Whanau, a kin care project for Maori, in mental health and with adults with intellectual disabilities.
