Daimhin Warner is Auckland Director of Simply Privacy, a consultancy providing privacy advice, strategy and training to business and government. He is a privacy professional with 10 years experience in both the public and private sector. Daimhin worked with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for 7 years, between 2007 and 2014, most recently managing the Commissioner’s Auckland Investigations Team. Daimhin then moved into the private sector, taking up a position as Privacy Officer for Sovereign Assurance. In this role, Daimhin provided operational and strategic privacy advice to all parts of the business, and developed and executed a privacy strategy and programme of work for the company. Daimhin holds an LLB from Edinburgh University and an LLM (Hons) in Public Law from the University of Auckland. Daimhin is a member of the NZ Subcommittee for the International Association of Privacy Professionals (iapp) ANZ and Co-Chair of iapp’s ANZ Certification Advisory Board.
