Creative Communities scheme supports local artist Nik Williams.
The Hillier Centre recently received some stunning murals for their walls, thanks to the drive of Family Works reception/coordinator Karen Cheneler.
Artist Nik Williams was supported by funding from Tauranga Council and Creative Communities NZ, and the murals were blessed by local Kaumātua Waaka Taite.

Artist Nik Williams works at the Incubator Creative Hub in Tauranga, and became interested in creating the murals for the Hillier Centre after discovering the centre’s philosophy of supporting the health and well-being of families and children.
The Creative Communities Scheme provided by Creative New Zealand, together with Tauranga Council enabled the project to come to fruition.
